Are there tips on passing unemployment phone interview?
I live in California and I am scheduled to have my unemployment phone interview next week. I would appreciate any tips you may have on passing this interview.
Make some notes for yourself regarding the reason you are no longer employed – dates, times, etc. so you have them handy when they call you up. If there is any specific information you need to give them make a note of that as well. If you have the notes written down ahead of time you won’t be as nervous and trying to remember things when the time comes for your interview.
Tell the truth in answering the questions as well.

the absolute truth………..
if you qualify falsely and are caught you will have to pay back all benefits and can be banned from any benefits for 2 years. there are certain circumstances that can also result in fines.
even if you are not banned or fined if the claim is overturned on appeal (due to a mis-statement of facts by you) you will be charged for any benefits received that you did not actually qualify for.
