Do you think one week is enough to get an answer for an interview job?

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

I applied for a job since one week, the interviewer was satisfied, and almost he accept me for the position, at the end he said :will call you back" and till now he didn’t call , do you think one week is enough to call me or i have to forget about this job or i have to call him back?

one week is enough time, i would say, to call and check up with him. Simply say "hello, this is so and so, I interviewed with you on may whatever the date was, i just wanted to call and check up on the status of my interview and the position" this will let the know you are interested. and if youre taking the initiative to call most of the time they will like that.

good luck on the job

interview for a job

Intimidation is the first thing that comes to mind for many who go on a job interview while unemployed. There are many questions to be asked when interviewing for a job.

Phone Interview Tips

You will be happy to know that it is easy to prepare yourself, simply by arming yourself with the things you need to know about the frequently asked questions by someone conducting an interview for a job.

This will help to keep you prepared for just about any interview questions for a job.

Preparing for an interview for a job: Questions and Answers

Come up with a long list of all the questions you can fathom being asked at a job interview, including ones you don’t think are very important. These questions can be all about the things you know will be asked along with the things you think you might be asked and even things you feel are tough questions and may or may not be asked.

50 behavioral interview questions

Make sure your list is comprised of no less than 50 questions on your behavior.

Do research to come up with the most valuable information to your field and use the information to help make your list of questions. Simple questions can make up a big part for a job interview, so make sure you do not overlook them.

Going overboard when it comes to your list is something that is not possible, so go hard out.

Phone interview Tips

Do research on the company you are applying for to come up with information to help make your list of questions.

Have them at your finger tips for quick reference.

Be prepared to lead with your questions. The person asking the questions controls the conversation.

Preparing for a job Interview

The questions you are asked by someone conducting a job interview will more than likely revolve around the job you are interviewing for, so if you don’t’ have particular experience make sure you research the job enough to know what you are talking about.

Practice your Interview questions and answers

Practice your questions by answering them in more than one way.

Determine the easiest and most direct way to answer the question without confusion or doubt.

You can do a sample job interview with family or friends and practice answering questions confidently.

Call the company and ask the receptionist of the type of frequently asked questions you maybe asked at your interview for a job.

How to interview well for a job

Make sure you keep in mind that you normally only have 1 shot at landing the job so what you say and do during your first meeting can make or break your opportunities with a particular company.

Speak slowly and clearly, practice your voice by calling your own answering service and practice, practice, practise.

Ensure you have your desk and phone space organized so you can get any answers easily.

Confidence is the key to your success

What it really all comes down to is how you feel about yourself in the self esteem department so make sure you prepare yourself enough that you feel confident when interviewing.

“Smile when talking on the phone”.

If you are offered a job on the spot at an interview, but have several more lined up, how do you tell them?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

Basically, I graduated from college and a couple months later had a baby. Now that she’s almost 5 months old, I am ready to re-enter the workforce. I have 5 interviews in the next 3 days. So if one of the earlier ones decides to offer me a job, but I want to wait and see if another one might be better, how do I tell the interviewer that without destroying my chances for employment? I mean, if they can interview candidates and choose the best fit for them, why can’t I interview jobs and choose the best fit for me?

Just say "How long do I have to make a decision to accept the job? I am committed to a couple more interviews within the week."

Just make a decision quickly after all the interviews so you aren’t holding anyone up. Most places respect your honesty.
