Answers for behavioral interview questions?

Thursday, May 6th, 2010

This one in particular-Q: Tell me the most difficult situation you have had to face and how you tackled it?

I’ve got nothing! I’ve only had a few retail jobs, haven’t had many problems on the job and just don’t have an answer to this question. Please, I need an answer for it.

Just say you had to deal with difficult costumers. and how you stayed calm and helped out and gave as much information to the costumer as you could. and say you are a problem solver so when situations arise you always find a positive way to deal with them. hope this helps:)

What are common behavioral job interview questions?

Tuesday, May 4th, 2010

I have an interview for a customer assistant position at a call center for AT&T. What do you think they will ask me?

I am currently a manager for a call center and some of the behavior questions we ask are:
Tell me about a time when you conformed with a policy in which you did not agree with. (Common for call centers to have polices in which agents disagree with)
Tell me about a time when you set a goal and where able to achieve it. (Personal goal)
Tell me about a time when you were required to meet or achieve specific goals/targets/ or metrics. (call center refers to their goals as metrics, such as Average handle time, Quality, and Adherence to your Schedule)
Tell me about a time when you had to go out of your way to satisfy a difficult customer. (all call centers deal with difficult customers so this will be very important)
Tell me about a time where you had to adjust quickly to a change in organizational or team priorities and how did that affect you? (Call centers regularly experience changes, so it is important to be prepared to handle changes)

Hope this helps you. Make sure your answers are very customer service oriented. Call centers are a great place to work. The job is not for everyone, but if you stick through the initial challenges you might just find that you enjoy the work.

How to get through the behavioral interview questions?

Sunday, May 2nd, 2010

For job interview.

This really all depends on your interviewer and the firm.

But, be prepared by chosing in advance 2-3 specific work experiences in the past that you have really enjoyed. Also chose 1-2 personal, non-job related experience. Analyze them.

1. Why did you like them? Why did you not like them?
2. Did you fail or succeed, and why?
3. What did those experiences teach you about yourself? That you like working with teams? Or that you prefer working indpendently?
4. Did those experiences emphasize any strengths and weaknesses?
5. What other lessons did you learn?

Once in the interview, remain calm. You’ve already got 2-6 examples that you can use to showcase your talents, your skills, your experience, etc.

What kind of questions to expect for behavioral interview?

Friday, April 30th, 2010

I have a half hour interview with a mining company for a technical job and they’re gonna ask me 2 behavioral questions. Does anyone have any idea what category these questions may be in and if I’m seriously supposed to ramble on for like 10 minutes for each question?

the more interesting question for me was and may be a behavioral "what are your best and worst qualities?" u can really hang yourself on the worst qualities. as long as u don’t give them a bunch of nervous verbal diareah i suppose u can ramble on about them. i like to keep my answers short and simple so as not to waist their time and mine. to use up the whole half hour or not is your decision and may be a good idea or not it depends on the personality of the person who is interviewing u and how u are doing on the day.
